Eric Gill The Wedding
Toastmaster attempts a
new World Record.

|
Eric Gill joined his 'Red Coated' colleagues on an open top,
double decker bus, in an attempt to toast all 107 Livery
companies, within the city of London in an hour and create a New
World Record, thus entering into the Guinness book of records.
This meant that a toast had to be completed every 30 seconds - a
daunting task!
Well, they only just made it, by delivering the last of the toasts
just as they arrived at their final outward destination, which was
thankfully ratified by their sponsors, Nat West, who had agreed to
officiate on behalf the
Guinness book of records.
|
The memories of this incredible day, will be etched in the minds
of all those who took part for many years to come. How grand they
all looked and how proud they all were, to be able to represent
such a prestigious Association in something, so very, typically
English.
Long may those traditions continue, and long may the
National Association
of Toastmasters, continue to be at the heart of those
traditions.

Eric Gill is a
Member of the National Association of Toastmasters, Affiliated to the
Toastmaster General Council and a Honorary Fellow of the Executive Guild of
Toastmasters and Town Criers
