“The role of a Toastmaster is to help coordinate the special day and take away the stress, never forgetting that the most important people in the room are the customer and their guests.”

“A Toastmaster, or Master of Ceremonies (MC), plays a vital role on a wedding day and at special events. They are responsible for announcing toasts and introducing the speakers, in addition to welcoming guests and ensuring everything runs as it should. A Toastmaster is the right-hand-man.”

Experience is the key, so look no further for your Toastmaster than Geoffrey Cox to alleviate the stress of a stressful day. Unbeknownst to many, the role of a Toastmaster extends to more than just announcing the speeches, as confetti.co.uk describes:

“If a wedding planner is the planner, then the Toastmaster is the ‘Director’ - their job is to take the running order of the day and make it work, ensuring everybody is where they should be, when they should be. They will be ensuring that both the couple and their guests are being looked after and that everything is in place, so there’s no delay or ambiguity when it’s needed .”

A good Toastmaster acts as your MC and coordinator, leaving you to enjoy your wedding day or special event without the worry of organising formalities and making sure guests are in the right place at the right time. In addition to working with fellow suppliers, a Toastmaster offers experienced support to everyone involved, each of whom has their own important role to fulfil – and every now and then a Toastmaster will also need to quietly do a bit of crisis management.

Good To Know…

A Toastmaster wears a traditional Toastmaster uniform which, since the early 1800’s, has been a formal red tail-coat, stiff white shirt, bow tie and waistcoat with black trousers and patent leather shoes.

However, not everyone wants such formality and often there may be a theme to a Wedding, so please speak to me regarding any specific ideas you might have.
